“speaking out on campus”
StandWithUs Programme for Israel Leadership and Public Diplomacy
StandWithUs is launching its international flagship Leadership and Public Diplomacy Programme in the UK on November 9th, 2016. The goal is to empower UK students to stand up for Israel in a well-informed way and to become active and articulate future leaders. The programme will run from November 2016 to March 2017, This programme comes to UK already a proven success in Israel and in the USA in training students to be effective in meeting the challenges in standing up for Israel on Campus.
The students are selected via an application process. Candidates from across the UK may apply. They meet each month and are taught by high-level leaders in the fields of diplomacy, communication, media, public speaking and more. During the year the students will create local projects – challenging them to elevate Israel on campus.
The students taking part in this programme are the best and brightest and they are the next generation of Israel’s ‘ambassadors’. They are outstanding young people who will go on to represent to represent Israel as young professionals once they have graduated. They will stay connected to each other and to StandWithUs through the Alumni Network and will be expected to help to recruit future applicants and help to develop and mentor upcoming students. Our international experience of this programme is that its graduates find employment in high-level jobs in academia, government, business, medicine, and the media.
This programme will work in collaboration with the student leadership programmes in Israel and USA, giving the students in each of our programmes the opportunity to gain learning from across countries and develop the most professional and smartest solutions to issues and challenges.
